What to Include in Your Inquiry
Six items. None of them are paperwork — each one changes what we can tell you in the first reply.
- The profile drawing, or a sample section
- This is the one item that changes the answer most. From a drawing we can confirm the forming station count, the coil width and the machine length. Without it, any figure we give you is an estimate that may move.
- Material and thickness
- Tell us the grade as well as the thickness — galvanised, pre-painted, cold-rolled, stainless or aluminium, and the yield strength if you know it. Thickness alone can under-specify the drive and the tooling.
- The coil you actually buy
- Coil weight and inner diameter decide the decoiler, and it is the part that is hardest to change later. Standard coil is supplied at 3–5 tonnes, which is why most lines run a 3 T or 5 T decoiler.
- Your output target
- Metres per shift, or the number of buildings you need to supply. This is what decides line speed and how much automation pays for itself. It does not need to be exact — a range is fine.
- Destination port and power supply
- We quote FOB Tianjin as standard, so tell us the destination if you want a landed figure. Also confirm your local voltage and frequency — export machines are built to the destination supply, not the Chinese one.
- Local section convention, if you sell into more than one market
- Gutter styles, purlin sections and roofing profiles follow local practice. Saying this at the inquiry stage is what lets us put several profiles on one base machine via interchangeable cassettes instead of one machine per market.
What Happens After You Send It
No form auto-reply, and no price before the section is understood.

We read it and come back with questions, not a price
A first reply that is only a number is usually a number that will move. We check the section, the material and the station count first, and tell you what we had to assume. If something in your brief will not work — a profile that needs a separate operation, a speed that will wear tooling — we say so at this stage.

You get a specification and a figure together
The quotation is a machine specification: station count, drive power, cutting arrangement, auxiliary equipment, lead time and terms, with the price attached to it. That is what makes two suppliers' quotes comparable — compare the specification, not the total.

We can run your section before you commit the balance
The line is assembled and load-tested at our works before shipment, and we send the running video. If your profile is unusual, ask for the test on your coil condition — that is the point at which a specification becomes evidence.
Before You Send an Inquiry
How quickly will I get a reply?
Within 24 hours, including weekends. If your inquiry needs engineering input — an unusual section, or a profile where the station count is not obvious — the first reply may be a question rather than a quotation. That is deliberate: a number sent before the section is understood tends to change later.
Can you quote from a photo instead of a drawing?
A photo identifies the machine type, and for a standard product that is often enough to start a conversation. It is not enough to fix a price, because the station count, the coil width and the cut-off arrangement all follow from the section geometry. Send the photo first if that is what you have — we will tell you what else we need.
Do you quote FOB or CIF?
FOB Tianjin is our standard term. If you want a landed figure, tell us the destination port and we will quote CIF as well, or put you in touch with a forwarder. Import duty is country-specific and is paid at your end.
What information do you need before you can confirm a lead time?
The section, the material and the auxiliary equipment you are taking. Forming lines commonly run from a few weeks to a couple of months depending on the station count and the coil handling equipment; a slitting line is a longer build than a forming machine. Each machine page carries its own lead time, and we confirm it against your configuration in the quotation.
Will I be dealing with the factory or a sales agent?
The factory. Cangzhou Zhongtuo Cold Roll Forming Machinery Co., Ltd. builds the machine, and the technical questions are answered by the people who design and test it. There is no intermediary between your specification and the workshop — which is also why we can correct a forming pass instead of explaining why we cannot.
