Why is K-style a separate machine from the standard gutter line?
K-style (ogee) replaces the half-round geometry entirely -- the profile, the hanger system and the downpipe outlet are all different. A North American seamless-gutter contractor runs one K-style size all day from an on-site portable machine. We supply both factory lines and portable on-site gutter formers for the K-style profile.
Which K-style sizes do you tool?
4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch are the standard sizes. The 5-inch is the most common residential size; the 6-inch handles higher-rainfall areas and commercial roofs. Each size requires its own forming cassette; dual-size machines can switch between two sizes in 1-2 hours.
Can I run both 5-inch and 6-inch on one machine?
Yes, with a cassette-change system. The base machine frame and drive are shared; only the roll cassette changes. Changeover time is approximately 1-2 hours. This is the standard approach for contractors serving both residential (5 in) and commercial (6 in) markets.
What material is K-style gutter made from?
Aluminium 0.027 in (0.69 mm) is the standard in the US market. A heavier 0.032 in option is available for premium residential work. Pre-painted steel in 26 ga or 24 ga is used where aluminium is not preferred -- common in Canada and parts of the Southeast US.
What is a portable seamless gutter machine?
A portable gutter former is a compact roll forming line that is driven to the job site on a trailer and forms the gutter to exact length at the building. This eliminates transport damage, end laps and waste from off-cuts. The machine forms one profile and size. We supply both fixed factory lines and portable trailer-mounted units.
What output rate should I expect?
A portable K-style line runs at 25-60 m/min forming speed. Practical job-site output is lower -- typically 150-300 linear metres per shift depending on gutter length and move time. A factory line producing pre-cut lengths runs 15-30 m/min with higher consistency.

How many forming stations does it use?

Drive: Gearbox or direct-drive chain. Final drive sizing is confirmed against your profile and coil, because a wider or thicker section needs more torque to hold the same line speed.
How is the finished profile cut to length?
Cutting is by Hydraulic stop-cut or flying cut; shear angle matches K-style end profile. Cut length and batch quantity are entered at the control panel, so a job runs to a fixed schedule instead of being measured by hand.
How is the line controlled?
Control is PLC + HMI, auto length + batch count. The operator sets length and quantity on the panel and the line runs the cycle — that is what keeps batch output consistent across a shift.
